The exception functionality within the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud enables organizations to determine the next steps for critical value, process issue, and non-conformance reviews in real-time.
The default severity and signature requirement for various exception types can be based on the organization's internal exception and critical value review processes. If applicable, the system can also support an integration with a QMS.
The specific handling for exceptions within an organization's system are determined by configuration settings at both the system level and the procedure template level. Exceptions are triggered automatically based upon these configurations and display for review on a central Exceptions review page as well as on the Exceptions tab of a procedure or batch run.
In the event that a specific exception type has been configured to block execution at the procedure template level, those exceptions must be approved before operators can continue procedure or batch run execution.
Critical values and exceptions are grouped as follows:
|Group Name||Exception Types|
|Critical Values||Critical Process Parameter (CPP), Critical Quality Attribute (CQA), Other Reviewable Value|
|Process Exceptions||A-Note Nonconformance, A-Note Observation, Abnormal Step Completion, Manual Intervention, Override|
|Process Notes||A-Note Process Note|
|Resource Exceptions||Equipment Input Condition Failed, Equipment Parameter Condition Failed, Location Input Condition Failed, Material Dispensing Condition Failed, Material Input Condition Failed, Material Parameter Condition Failed, Substituted Material|
|Value Exceptions||Checkbox Input Condition Failed, Dropdown Input Condition Failed, Formula Condition Failed, Measure Input Condition Failed, Parameter Condition Failed, Value Input Condition Failed|
