Issue
User's camera and/or microphone is blocked and is therefore unable to join a Tandem session on the web application.
Solution
There are two options to troubleshoot your device's camera and/or microphone:
Close additional software
- Close any web conferencing applications (Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) that may be interfering with the camera or microphone access on Tandem.
- Navigate back to the browser with the Tempo web application open and refresh the page.
- Re-join the Tandem session.
Update Google Chrome settings
- Click the padlock located next to the portal URL in the address bar.
- Click Site Settings. This will open a new browser tab.
- Under Permissions, change the Camera and Microphone settings to Allow.
NOTE:
If the settings are already set to Allow, click Reset Permissions then Reset.
- Navigate back to the browser with the Tandem web application open and refresh the page.
- Re-join the Tandem session.
NOTE:
If you reset the permissions in step 3, you will be asked to allow camera and microphone access again.
