Introduction to Blue Mountain RAM Integration

The Tempo Blue Mountain RAM Integration is a No Code integration that enables seamless connectivity between Blue Mountain RAM (BMRAM) and Tempo systems for automated equipment calibration management via MQTT. Additionally, Tempo can inform BMRAM when equipment status process actions are executed so that production MES scheduling can be represented within BMRAM. Please click here for additional information on the integration from Blue Mountain.

When are calibration events sent from BMRAM to Tempo?

  1. When you enroll an Asset (link Tempo Equipment Instance to BMRAM Asset) - Performed within Tempo
  2. When you complete a Scheduled Work Order from the Schedule Information area of an Asset - Performed within BMRAM
  3. When you change an Asset from Edit to Active - Performed within BMRAM
  4. When you do an on demand calibration work - Performed within BMRAM

When a calibration event is sent from BMRAM to Tempo, it will update the following fields on the Calibration Tab of an Equipment instance:

Tempo Field Description
Calibration ID The ID of the Calibration from BMRAM
Calibration Status Status of the calibration from BMRAM
Re-Calibration Date The next calibration date from BMRAM
Last Calibrated Date The last calibrated date from BMRAM
Last Calibrated By The user in BMRAM who last calibrated the equipment

Integration Requirements

Blue Mountain RAM Requirements

  • Blue Mountain RAM Version 6.3.5 with the BMRAM/Tempo Calibration Module (Consult with your Blue Mountain representative for specific information)
NOTE

Communication between BMRAM and Tempo occurs over MQTT. Blue Mountain can provide an MQTT Broker to use for the transactions or you can provide your own MQTT broker

Tempo Requirements

  • Custom App Integration enabled and configured (for Audit Trail and logging purposes)
  • Event Queue Endpoint configured to MQTT broker between BMRAM and Tempo
  • Blue Mountain RAM integration enabled and configured in the Integrations section of Tempo (see below Scribe guide), which references the Custom App and Event Queue Endpoint
  • Equipment Instances set up in Tempo with calibration enabled at the parent Equipment Class
