VERSION NOTE:
System audit logs are available in all supported versions and packages within Tempo. This article covers logs in Tempo v7.0.X and subsequent versions. For information about logs in Tempo v6.5.X, review the Business Intelligence (v6.5) category.

Within Tempo, audit logs are available at three different levels:

  1. Aggregated system logs within Logs menu options: Logs pages display within Tempo and Tandem menu options to provide aggregated logs across multiple similar objects.
  2. Object-level History tabs: A History tab displays on most system objects to provide logs relevant to that particular object.
  3. Connected Manufacturing Network Logs: Logs available to the Core Team to display master data information.

Aggregated system logs within Logs menu options

Most aggregated system logs are available via cloud Tempo > Logs. (Tandem logs are available via Tandem > Logs.)

Each log page includes a list of relevant changes and offers the ability to click into a change to view additional detail.
From this list, users can access the following functions:

  • View, search, create, edit, and delete material classes/subclasses information

  • Customize filter views to fit display preferences

    • Click Columns to select which columns to display in the list.
      • Columns reflect specific information related to a log, including information such as Type, Subtype, Object, Action, Summary, User Name, Timestamp, and more.
    • Click filter_list Filter next to a column of your choice, then select a filter criteria and enter a term in the search bar.
    • Click Filters Applied > Clear All Filters to reset the filter view.
  • Print the current log view or access a specific log entry to print that entry.


Equipment Logs

Equipment Logs are divided into Equipment Master Data (which provide aggregate history logs of all Equipment Classes / Subclasses) and Equipment Operations (which provide aggregate history logs of all Equipment Instances).

Material Logs

Material Logs are divided into Material Master Data (which provide aggregate history logs of all Material Classes / Subclasses and Definitions) and Inventory Operations (which provide aggregate history logs of all Material Lots / Sublots).

Sample Logs

Sample Logs are divided into Sample Master Data (which provide aggregate history logs of all Sample Classes / Subclasses),** Sample Logs** (which provide aggregate history logs of all Samples), Array Master Data (which provide aggregate history logs of all Array Classes / Subclasses), and Array Logs (which provide aggregate history logs of all Arrays).

Signature Logs

Signature Logs document activities for any signatures provided anywhere across the application.

Label Logs

Label Logs document activities for any labels generated or printed anywhere across the application.

Security Logs

Security Logs document activities of users of the application, such as log in, log out, addition of users, and modification of roles and permissions.

Team Configuration Logs

Team Configuration Logs document changes to settings and configurations.

Creation Logs (Legacy)

For customers whose initial Tempo implementation was prior to 7.0, Creation Logs (Legacy) displays legacy log information.
Creation Logs document all user actions and changes made in the system, such as creating, deactivating, updating, archiving, importing, exporting, and more.

Tandem Call Logs

Tandem Call Logs document Tandem session call details, including participant names, call quality, media captures, and more.

Each of the following objects now has a History tab located directly on the object for ease of reference:

  • Kits
  • Sample Classes
  • Samples Subclasses

  • Settings (formerly Configuration)

  • Printers
  • Locations (Site, Building, Area, Unit)
  • Statuses
  • Integration Configurations
  • Event Queue Endpoints
  • Event Configuration.

Connected Manufacturing Network Logs

PACKAGE NOTE:
These logs are available to organizations that have the Connected Manufacturing Network (CMN) package. These logs are only accessible for users of the Core Team.

To access CMN logs click Network > Select Global Team Objects from the dropdown then expand the Logs section.

Logs are generated anytime one of the following events take place:

  • Publish master data
  • Re-publish master data
  • Revoke master data
  • Archive a published master data
  • Publish master data failed
  • Published master data accepted by receiving team

Information tracked in association with the above events are listed below:

  • Category: Procedure Template, Batch Template.
  • Name: Name of the master data object sent
  • Event Type: Failed, Published, Accepted, Revoked, Archived
  • Site
  • Team
  • Transaction Type: Master Data Transfer
  • Transaction ID
  • Timestamp
  • User
