The Tandem iOS application provides users with an additional way to collaborate in real-time on an iOS device. When logging in to the app, please note there are two methods to doing so (general vs. using a Magic Link). Review the sections below to learn how to log in and out of the Tandem iOS app.

Logging in to Tandem iOS app for the first time (Magic Link)
Before a user can use the Tandem iOS app, the app must be associated with an organization's Tandem system using a special URL called a Magic Link. Whenever possible, Apprentice will ensure this association is made before shipping iOS devices to customers.
There are some cases where a user may need to associate their Tandem iOS app with their Tandem system. This might occur the first time a user logs in to a Tandem app on a new device (that has not been pre-configured) or in certain circumstances after a system upgrade.
NOTE:
- Magic Link only applies to users who are using versions 6.0 or earlier of Tandem. If you are using a later version of Tandem, refer to the Logging in to Tandem iOS app (general) section below.
- Magic Link is not compatible with Safari. You may have to download the Google Chrome application from the App Store prior to logging in to Tandem on your iOS device.
- Open the Google Chrome app on your iOS device.
- Navigate to the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud via the Google Chrome web browser.
NOTE:
If the browser is not responding, ensure the URL begins with:
https://

- Log in to the Tempo web application. For more information on logging in, refer to the Logging in and out of the Tempo Web Application article.
- On the left navigation panel, tap account_circle My Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page until a QR code displays.
- Tap the Magic Link to configure the app on the iOS device.
- If this is your first time logging in with the Magic Link, a notification displays to alert that the browser wants to open the Tandem app. Tap Open.
- The Tandem iOS app opens. Tap OK then log in to the app with the same credentials used in step 1.
Logging in to Tandem iOS app (general)
- Open the Tandem app on an iOS device.
- Enter your email address, then tap Next.
NOTE:
If your organization has Single Sign-On (SSO) set up for the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud, the app will validate your login using your organization's corporate authentication solution. If you are prompted to log in to that solution, complete and submit all required information. You will then be redirected to the Tandem iOS app.
- Enter your password, then tap Sign In. The Tandem app displays with the Sessions tab open by default.
NOTE:
If you have enabled Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your account, you will be prompted to provide your MFA token immediately after you click Login.
- To access your MFA token, open the Google Authenticator app and locate the token for your Tempo account.
- Enter the token in the MFA Token field and click Submit before the token expires. (Tokens are available for a maximum of 30 seconds.)
Logging out of Tandem iOS app
- Open the Tandem app on an iOS device.
- Tap My Profile at the bottom of the app.
- Tap Log Out in the upper right corner of the app.
Updating the Tandem iOS application
To update a user's Tandem iOS application on an Apprentice-managed iOS device or Tandem headset application on an Apprentice-powered headset, the customer's point of contact with Apprentice should reach out to your Apprentice customer success manager (CSM).
Your CSM will work with you to ensure that the correct application version is identified and updated on the device.
