Introducing the Tempo v6.5.200 service pack
- Additional links and information may be added to this article in the future. This article was last updated 2/17/2023.
General platform updates
PIN Updates
Enhanced
The PIN Length setting (available on the web app via settings Platform > settings Configuration > Settings) now enforces a net-new system PIN length requirement of 6, 7, or 8 digits, with a default value of 6. Previously, this setting enforced a net-new system PIN length requirement of 4, 5, or 6 digits.
Users with an existing PIN will be able to keep their current PIN regardless of its length until the PIN Rotation Limit is reached, if applicable, or they change the number on their own.
iOS app network diagnostic tool
Added
A new setting, Network Diagnostics Test, is available within the iOS device Settings app for both Tandem and Tempo iOS apps. When this setting is enabled for the Tandem or Tempo iOS app, a help Help icon displays in the upper right corner of the app login page.
With this setting enabled, an iOS device user can identify issues in app connectivity by tapping the help Help icon > Network Diagnostics Test on the app login page. The system then runs a series of tests and displays each result as either Connected or Error.
Option to disable headset app inactivity timer
Added
Upon customer request, Apprentice internal staff can disable the inactivity timer for a customer’s headset apps. To learn more about or request this configuration, reach out to your Apprentice Point of Contact.
Resources & locations
New fields for equipment instances
Added
Three new columns can now be added to the Equipment Instances list: Last Used Date, Last Batch Run ID, and Last Procedure Run ID. To determine which columns display on the list, select the Columns button, then select or deselect relevant column names.
Beginning with an equipment instance’s first use after a Tempo system has been upgraded to 6.5.200, the Last Used Date, Last Batch Run ID, and Last Procedure Run ID columns provide quick reference regarding the most recent time the equipment instance was scanned as a Resource Input or experienced a status change as a result of an Equipment Status action, as well as the associated batch or procedure run ID for the change.
Procedures & batches
Tempo roles and permissions updates
Enhanced
The following updates have been made to roles and permissions within Tempo:
- Users who have neither Quality nor System Admin permissions cannot release a batch run.
- Users who have Quality and/or System Admin permissions can release a batch run.
- Users with Quality permissions are allowed to approve a procedure run.
Terminology update for two Time Capture Condition options
Enhanced
Two of the Date/Time Capture input Time Capture Condition field options have been updated to more accurately reflect system functionality. The options now display as On or after and On or before; they previously displayed as After and Before.
Exception condition now included on procedure run Exceptions tab
Enhanced
To improve the exception review experience on the procedure run Exceptions tab, the tab now displays the condition for an acceptable value as well as the value entered by the operator during execution.
History tab available for procedure and batch run reports
Enhanced
Users now have the ability to choose whether to include information from the History tab when printing a procedure or batch run report.
Procedure run assignment log moved to History tab
Enhanced
Previously, when a user was assigned to a procedure run, the action generated a log on the Business Intelligence Creation Logs list. Now, when a user is assigned to a procedure run, the action generates an entry on the procedure run History tab and not on the Creation Logs list. This brings the record of actions associated with procedure runs to a single location.
Procedure run signatures and comments added to History tab
Enhanced
A new column, Signature, is now available on the procedure run History tab. After a Tempo system has been upgraded to 6.5.200, new signatures and comments related to the procedure run (e.g., step signatures, overrides, etc.) can be reviewed with other procedure run history information on this tab. Signature information is also available on the Business Intelligence Signature Logs list; this is also where signature logs from system use prior to 6.5.200 can be viewed.
Tandem
Tandem post-call survey removed from headset app
Enhanced
Users who access Tandem from an Apprentice-powered headset will no longer be directed to an optional session quality survey upon leaving a Tandem session.
