  • Automatic batch run state updates when associated procedure runs are reopened

  • Full traceability of all changes through signatures and exceptions

Key Benefits:

  • Greater flexibility in performing actions post-completion for things like re-work, accidental completion, and after-the-fact deviation investigations

Active Step Highlighting

To improve execution clarity and efficiency, especially in complex procedures with parallel sections, v7.4 introduces enhanced visual indicators for active steps. This new functionality supports both single-user and multi-user execution scenarios by clearly showing which steps are currently available for action.

    • A new blocking exception is created when a conditional navigation override is approved

    • Users are immediately removed from the running procedure when this exception is triggered

    • The affected batch and procedure are placed on hold, requiring approval before resumption

  • Improved Step and Process Action Handling

    • When a branch is voided, all associated steps and process actions are marked as void for the first iteration

    • A second iteration of the steps is created, marked as "Steps skipped by navigation"

    • Process actions in the skipped steps are marked as “Not completed”

  • Stricter Navigation Controls

    • Users are prevented from jumping across branches, regardless of step sequentiality settings

  • Improved Procedure Run Logs

    • Steps voided by conditional navigation are clearly marked in the logs

    • Enhanced visibility of the execution flow and decision points

Key Benefits:

  • Increased Control: Better management of procedure flow, especially in complex, branching procedures

  • Improved Compliance: Clearer tracking of deviations from the planned procedure path

  • Better Traceability: Improved logging of navigation decisions and their impacts. Advancing Formula and Navigation Controls

Calculate and Navigate Using Custom Properties

Procedure authors can now reference measure values from Custom Property Read and Write actions directly in Standard Formula Process Actions, enabling more sophisticated calculations and data-driven procedures.

  • Enhanced Standard Formula Process Action Authoring

    • When creating a Standard Formula Process Action, authors can now select from eligible Custom Property Read and Write process actions in the Process Action reference dropdown

  • Intelligent Eligibility Criteria

    • The system automatically filters and displays only eligible Custom Property Read and Write actions, ensuring authors can only select valid references

  • Dynamic Value Evaluation

    • During procedure execution, the Standard Formula Process Action pulls the actual measure value from the referenced Custom Property Read or Write action, allowing for real-time, data-based calculations

Equipment and Material Custom Property Read and Write Support within Conditional Navigation

Procedure authors can now reference measure values from Custom Property Read and Write actions directly in Condition Process Actions, enabling more dynamic and data-driven navigation within procedures

  • Enhanced Condition Process Action Authoring

    • When creating a Condition Process Action, authors can now select from eligible Custom Property Read process actions in the Process Action reference dropdown

  • Intelligent Eligibility Criteria

    • The system automatically filters and displays only eligible Custom Property Read actions, ensuring authors can only select valid references

  • Dynamic Value Evaluation

    • During procedure execution, the Condition Process Action pulls the actual value from the referenced Custom Property Read action, allowing for real-time, data-based decision making

Key Benefits:

  • Calculate formula output values based on multiple custom property inputs

  • Create branching logic based on equipment readings or measurements

Material Management Improvements

Enhanced Sublot Expiration Management

V7.4 introduces a powerful new capability for managing sublot expiration dates, providing organizations with greater flexibility and control over their material lifecycle management. This enhancement allows for independent expiration date management of dispensed sublots, moving beyond the previous system where sublots automatically inherited their parent lot's expiration date.

Configurable Expiration Periods

The system now provides sophisticated expiration date management at the Material Definition level:

  • Configurable default expiration periods for dispensed sublots

  • Flexible time unit options for expiration duration

  • Automated expiration date calculations based on dispensing time
