Material Sublot Scan Enhancements
Enable operators to use industry-standard GS1 barcodes for material identification, eliminating duplicate QR code management and streamlining material traceability workflows.
Key Features:
Expanded Sublot Identification - System now searches for sublots using three identifiers: Sublot ID, MongoDB ID/Tempo QR code, and Scan ID field
Case-Insensitive Matching - All barcode comparisons performed without case sensitivity, accommodating variations in barcode printing or scanning without workflow interruption
GS1 Barcode Support - Full support for industry-standard GS1 QR codes for sublot identification during material operations
Comprehensive Action Coverage - Enhanced scanning applies to material scan actions, material consume actions, material dispense actions, and create kit actions within procedures
Backward Compatibility - Maintains full compatibility with existing MongoDB ID and Scan ID scanning workflows, ensuring no disruption to current operations
Automatic Deduplication - System ensures each sublot appears only once in results, even if multiple identifier fields match the scanned barcode
Key Benefits:
Reduced Manual Entry Errors - Operators can scan GS1-compliant barcodes directly from material containers instead of manually entering sublot information
Improved Traceability - Supports use of standardized barcode formats that align with pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry best practices
Enhanced Operational Efficiency - Eliminates need for duplicate internal QR code generation when materials already have GS1 barcodes from suppliers
Regulatory Compliance - Enables proper material identification and tracking using industry-standard barcode formats required in regulated environments
Flexible Data Capture - Case-insensitive matching and multiple identifier support accommodate various barcode formats without requiring system changes
Notes:
Enhanced scanning functionality is available in both web and iOS execution interfaces
System performs deduplication automatically to prevent duplicate sublot entries
All three identifier types (Sublot ID, MongoDB ID, Scan ID) are searched simultaneously for maximum flexibility
The system performs deduplication to ensure each sublot appears only once in results, even if multiple identifier fields match the scanned barcode
Material Definition API Standard UoM Conversion Handling
Simplify ERP integration by eliminating API failures caused by standard unit of measure conversions, while maintaining full support for custom conversion definitions.
Key Features:
Automatic Standard Conversion Detection - System identifies when an alternate unit of measure conversion matches a pre-existing standard conversion (e.g., 1 kg = 1000 g)
Graceful Processing - Standard conversions are automatically skipped without causing message failures or errors, allowing API calls to complete successfully
Custom Conversion Support - Custom alternate unit conversions (e.g., 1 box = 100 g) continue to be added to material definitions as expected
Mixed Conversion Handling - When a material definition contains both standard and custom conversions, the system processes only the custom conversions while ignoring the standard ones
Public API Integration - Enhanced validation applies to all material definition API calls, including GraphQL mutations and REST endpoints
Key Benefits:
Improved ERP Integration Reliability - External systems can send material definitions without pre-filtering for standard conversions, reducing integration complexity and development time
Reduced API Failures - Eliminates errors that previously occurred when standard conversions were included in material definition messages from ERP systems
Data Integrity - Ensures consistent unit of measure handling across the system while preventing duplicate standard conversions
Simplified External System Configuration - ERP system integrations no longer need custom logic to exclude standard conversions from material definition payloads
Backward Compatibility - Existing material definition workflows continue to function without modification; no changes required to current integrations
Notes:
Standard conversions are defined as built-in UoM relationships already established in the system (e.g., metric conversions like kg to g)
Custom conversions (e.g., 1 box = 100 g) will always be processed and added to the material definition
No changes are required to existing material definition API calls or integrations
