Executing a Procedure on an iPad

Once a template has reached the Effective approval stage and has been Assigned for Execution, an Operator can log into Tempo on a mobile device running Apple's iOS or an Apprentice-powered headset to preview or execute it.
Navigating to a procedure on an iPad
Follow the steps below to learn how to navigate to a procedure on an iPad.
As a prerequisite, ensure that the iPad has the appropriate version of Tempo installed.
Launch the Tempo application on your iOS device. The Batch Runs page displays by default.
Click the Menu icon (three bars) located in the upper left corner of the page. A panel displays links to various options.
Click Procedures. The Procedures list displays.
Previewing a Procedure on an iPad
Follow the steps below to learn how to preview a procedure run on an iPad.
From the Procedures list on an iPad, click on a procedure.
Click the Preview button.
- The procedure will open on the Document tab. Click the Flow tab to view the augmented steps for this procedure. While in preview mode, an operator can review each procedure step but cannot complete a step. If they click on a step in preview mode the following message will appear.
Starting a Procedure on an iPad
Follow the steps below to learn how to start a procedure run on an iPad.
From the Procedures list on an iPad, click on a procedure.
Click the Start button. A signature dialog box prompting the user to enter their email address and password, or a PIN number, will be displayed.
Enter a signature or a PIN number. The procedure will open on the Document tab.
Click the Flow tab to view the augmented steps for this procedure.
- Click Step 1. The step will open to reveal any inputs, actions, or other elements added by the procedure author.
An operator must complete each step in sequence unless "Enforce Sequentiality" has been deactivated for this procedure.
- Complete the step instructions then click the next button to move to the next step
Viewing Scan Conditions
During the execution of a procedure, the operator may be prompted to scan a resource QR code. Prior to scanning the code, the operator may view the conditions that were added to the scan input during autorhing.
Follow the steps below to learn how to view the scan conditions on an iPad.
- From the Scan code dialog, click Scan Conditions. A window will open with a list of conditions that must be met.
- Click the X in the upper right corner of the window to close it.
