The exception functionality within the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud enables organizations to determine the next steps for critical value, process issue, and non-conformance reviews in real-time.
The default severity and signature requirement for various exception types can be based on the organization's internal exception and critical value review processes. If applicable, the system can also support an integration with a QMS.
The specific handling for exceptions within an organization's system are determined by configuration settings at both the system level and the procedure template level. Exceptions are triggered automatically based upon these configurations and display for review on a central Exceptions review page as well as on the Exceptions tab of a procedure or batch run.
- In the event that a specific exception type has been configured to block execution at the procedure template level, those exceptions must be approved before operators can continue procedure or batch run execution.
- In Tempo v7.0.0 and subsequent releases, the system allows users to add a comment related to an exception. If the system-level Require at least 1 comment to approve exception configuration is enabled, the system will require at least one comment prior to approving an exception.
