Tandem web application users can initiate or join ad-hoc Tandem sessions to receive and share information on the fly. The Tandem web application also supports scheduling sessions in advance, which can be launched directly from a laptop or desktop device. Starting an ad-hoc session on the web app
Via Tandem dashboard
- From the left navigation panel, click
Tandem.
- Click Dashboard.
- Click New Session. The New Session dialog displays.
- Search or filter for collaborators to invite to the session. Click the checkbox next to the name of each person to invite.
- (OPTIONAL) Click Assign Alternative Admin to assign the selected collaborator as an alternative session admin.
- Click Start. A Google Chrome tab displays.
- (OPTIONAL) Click Mute, Stop Video, or Check audio and video to adjust your audio and/or video settings.
- (OPTIONAL) Click expand_less Expand > Blur My Background to blur the background of your video display for additional privacy.
- Click Join. The Tandem session window displays.
Via navigation panel
- From the left navigation panel, click
Tandem.
- Click Connect.
- Click Start a new session. The New Session dialog displays.
- Search or filter for collaborators to invite to the session. Click the checkbox next to the name of each person to invite.

Joining an ad-hoc session on the web app
Via email notification
- On a Google Chrome web browser, locate and open the New Tandem Request email.
- Click Join or copy and paste the Tandem link in a new browser tab.
NOTE:
If you are not logged in to the Tempo Manufacturing Cloud, it will prompt you to do so now.
- (OPTIONAL) Click Mute, Stop Video, or Check audio and video to adjust your audio and/or video settings.
- (OPTIONAL) Click expand_less Expand > Blur My Background to blur the background of your video display for additional privacy.
- Click Join. The Tandem session window displays.
Via Tandem dashboard
- From the left navigation panel, click
Tandem.
- Click Dashboard.
- Click Join. The Sessions dialog opens with the Sessions in Progress tab displayed by default.
- Locate an active session of your choice, then click Join. A Google Chrome tab displays.

- Click Join. The Tandem session window displays.

- Click Join an existing session. The Sessions dialog opens with the Sessions in Progress tab displayed by default.
- Locate an active session of your choice, then click Join. A Google Chrome tab displays.

Starting a scheduled session on the web app
Via Tandem dashboard
- From the left navigation panel, click
Tandem.
- Click Dashboard.
- Locate the appropriate session below Upcoming Scheduled Sessions, then click Start on web. A Google Chrome tab displays.
- (OPTIONAL) Click Mute, Stop Video, or Check audio and video to adjust your audio and/or video settings.
- (OPTIONAL) Click expand_less Expand > Blur My Background to blur the background of your video display for additional privacy.
- Click Join. The Tandem session window displays.
Via navigation panel
- From the left navigation panel, click
Tandem.
- Click Sessions.
- Click Scheduled Sessions.
- Locate the appropriate session in the list, then click Start on web. A Google Chrome tab displays.
- (OPTIONAL) Click Mute, Stop Video, or Check audio and video to adjust your audio and/or video settings.
- (OPTIONAL) Click expand_less Expand > Blur My Background to blur the background of your video display for additional privacy.
- Click Join. The Tandem session window displays.
Joining a scheduled session on the web app
Via email notification
- On a Google Chrome web browser, locate and open the scheduled Event Invitation email.
- Click Join or copy and paste the Tandem link in a new browser tab.
NOTE:
